About the Election of Rector

There will be an election for the post of Rector of the University, the current Rector Keith Harris having reached the end of his period of office. The current Rector is eligible to stand in this election for a second period of office.

An election will be held according to the following timetable (to be approved by Court after consultation with the Senatus and the Students’ Association):

ELECTION OF THE RECTOR 2025

  • Nominations open – 5th February 12pm
  • Nominations close – 10th March 10am
  • Voting open – 14th March Fri 10am
  • Candidates’ Debate – 14th March Fri 6pm
  • Voting close – 21st March Fri 9am
  • Results & AGM – 21st March Fri 6pm
