The Liar is a vibrant café-bar located on Level 3 of DUSA, named after Stephen Fry’s novel The Liar in tribute to his time as Rector of the University. Recently refurbished with a modern, welcoming design, it offers a relaxed space for studying, socialising, or grabbing a bite to eat. With seating for over 200 people, The Liar serves a range of food, coffee, and drinks, and is fully accessible. By day, it’s a laid-back hub for students; by night, it transforms into a lively venue for quizzes, society events, and ceilidhs. Whether you’re looking to chill, work, or meet friends, The Liar is the heart of student life at DUSA.
