If you’re a home student experiencing unexpected money problems, the UK Student Discretionary Funds can provide support. For example, if you cannot pay for housing or living costs following a loss of income. You cannot use any money you may receive to pay for tuition fees. You may be eligible for financial assistance from the following sources:

Bursaries and Scholarships: University of Dundee offers various bursaries and scholarships based on academic achievement, financial need, or other criteria.

SAAS Funding: The Student Awards Agency Scotland (SAAS) provides funding for eligible Scottish students to cover tuition fees and living costs.

International Students

As an international student, you may be eligible for emergency financial assistance. University International Student Emergency Fund could provide some support if there is an unexpected change that could be a loss of income due to illness or death in the family. Or, it could be being unable to return home because of conflicts or the fear of persecution. You cannot use any money you may receive to pay for tuition fees.

International Scholarships: Dundee University offers several scholarships for international students, often based on academic merit, financial need, or other criteria. Scholarships to help fund your Dundee education.

External Funding Sources: Numerous external organisations offer scholarships, grants, and loans for international students. Research opportunities specific to your home country and subject area to maximise your chances of securing funding.

International Student Emergency Funds: Dundee University provides emergency funding for international students facing unforeseen financial difficulties during their studies.
