Leading the collective student voice on campus, these elected, voluntary positions influence your school, DUSA and the University by ensuring that key decision makers understand the student experience and contribute to improving it.

Division Presidents are the primary elected student representatives within each academic division, introduced as part of the University’s transition from eight academic Schools to four faculties and division-based structures. This role replaces the former School President positions from 2026 onwards.

The Independent Member of Court (IMC) is an important role. The elected post holder will become a governor of the University and more information can be found here: dundee.ac.uk/governance/university/court

The IMC is not a representative position like the other elected roles, but one which requires the post holder to put the interests of the institution first. It is an opportunity to help contribute to major decisions on the future of the University.
