Student Representative Council (SRC) Restructure
This year, the SRC looks a little different. We’ve had some students reach out with questions about the restructure, so we want to explain what’s changed and why.
RAG is DUSA’s Raising and Giving initiative which exists to have philanthropic presence in its community. Every year the student body votes for a charity to raise funds for, through fun campaigns and events.
The RAG is overseen by the RAG Committee.
You can gain valuable experience in planning events and campaigns, make new connections and ultimately do a good thing. The more volunteers (committee) we have, the more successful events we can pull off together, which ultimately helps raise more money which can be given to someone in need.
This years chosen charity is Dundee Women’s Aid.
Dundee Women’s Aid supports women who are struggling with domestic abuse, offering refuge, aid, and a dedicated Duty Team to help women as rapidly and safely as possible.
They have been supporting women, children and young people who are experiencing domestic abuse for over 50 years.
Roles you as a student can apply for:
Vice Chair of Committee:
The Vice Chair supports the Chair in leading the RAG Committee, helping to coordinate fundraising efforts, engage students, and ensure smooth delivery of events and campaigns for DUSA’s chosen Charity of the Year.
Social Media Conveyor:
The Social Media Conveyor manages RAG’s social media to promote fundraising efforts, events, and engage the Dundee student community. They create content to raise awareness, encourage participation, and foster connection between DUSA, RAG, and students.
2x Rag Ambassadors:
The RAG Ambassadors support the committee by planning and running events, contributing ideas, and promoting fundraising initiatives. With two senior ambassadors on the team, they play a vital role in ensuring RAG’s success.

DUSA Volunteers are more than just a group of individuals working together – it’s a family where students find a sense of belonging and discover the true value of community.

The University of Dundee has advised us that, due to its own financial difficulties, there will be a 34% reduction in funding to your Students’ Association this year.
