At the end of every academic year we recognise those who did a remarkable job throughout the year. Nominations are now open, for the awards which will be presented at the President’s Awards Night 2025.
This award goes to the School President who has gone above and beyond for the students they represented. This is an individual who has demonstrated exceptional leadership and commitment to improving the academic experience and ensuring the students’ voice was heard at all levels of the school. They are someone who have worked well with their school staff, DUSA Exec and the wider student representation to enhance the student voice.
This award recognises a School Vice President who has been exceptional in supporting and working alongside their School President, class reps, students and school staff to improve the academic experience within their school.
This award recognises a councillor who has shown outstanding commitment to the Student Representative Council, striving to elevate its profile and outreach by engaging with the student body.
This award celebrates the Class Rep who has actively and effectively voiced the concerns of their peers, contributed to positive change, and shown consistent dedication to their role.
This award goes to a Volunteer whose enthusiasm, reliability, and selfless service have significantly contributed to the student experience through volunteer efforts within the university community.
WithWith this award, we would like to recognise an individual student who has shown outstanding commitment and had a lasting impact on the overall student experience, showcasing our ethos of community, leadership and inclusivity.
This award goes to a DUSA staff member who has gone above and beyond in our commitment to our students. Someone who has dedicated their efforts to the improvement of our services, and who never shies away from going that extra mile.
This award goes to the Society that has gone above and beyond during this academic year. The recipient has made a significant contribution to the student experience, bringing students together, growing their membership, and building a real sense of community.
This award recognises a student who has made a significant and positive impact on the university and wider community. Through their involvement in volunteering, events, societies, or sports clubs, they have helped others, fostered a sense of belonging, brought people together, and contributed to meaningful causes. They may have addressed key social issues, led new initiatives, organised fundraisers, or even strengthened partnerships beyond campus in the wider Dundee city.
This Award goes to the Society that has overcome hardship and shown resilience in the face of obstacles, offering a sense of belonging to its members and the wider student community.
This award is presented to the society that has delivered the most impactful and memorable event of the year, one that either strengthened community bonds, raised the society’s profile, or deepened understanding within their academic field. Whether it brought people together socially or enriched them intellectually, this event left a lasting impression on campus and beyond.
This award recognises a student-led fundraising event that stood out for its valuable impact in the community. The event should reflect the spirit of Raising and Giving (RAG) by bringing people together, raising money for a good cause, and making a positive difference.
