Here is what you can expect at the event. 

A showcase of Scottish horror 

Horror Con Scotland brings together the best and most talented minds in Scottish horror, providing a platform for authors and artists to showcase their eerie creations. Attendees can explore spine-chilling exhibits that delve into the darkest corners of the genre, allowing them to discover new talents and get familiar with the most bone-chilling works in literature and art. 

Frightening but fun cosplay contests 

Cosplay takes a terrifying turn at Horror Con Scotland with its costume contests. Attendees are encouraged to portray a classic horror icon or a unique original creation, the cosplay contests are a delightfully thrilling sight to behold. 

Horrifying workshops  

In addition to the captivating exhibits and contests, Horror Con Scotland offers a series of workshops that cater to every horror lover’s desire. You can learn the tricks of the trade from seasoned professionals and indulge in skilful activities. 

One such workshop, the “Undead Academy” by Scarescotland, takes attendees on a thrilling journey into the world of zombie acting. Led by Stevie Douglas and Chris Campbell, known for their roles on the BBC’s hit show ‘I Survived a Zombie Apocalypse,’ this 90-minute session will teach you how to become a convincing member of the walking dead. From mastering spine-chilling zombie noises to perfecting the eerie movements that will send shivers down spines, this workshop promises a unique experience for all participants. 

Points to note: 

-Parents and guardians are advised to exercise discretion when bringing children under the age of 15.  

-Bonar Hall is currently not wheelchair accessible. 

– Northern Frights, the organisers, will have a stall at the Freshers’ Fair on September 16 so that you can meet them in person!
