Non-Student Vacancies

Food & Beverage Assistant

35 hours per week   

Ref 11-20-31

Salary up to £ £16,926.00 per annum

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the Food & Beverage team at the Union as we move to welcoming back our students to campus.

We operate a number of Café and Bars which are food and coffee led during the day and in the evening offer our students an area for relaxation, dining and socialising, watching sports and after class relaxation.

We are looking for a confident, outgoing individual who can deliver high levels of customer service with the ability to work flexible hours.

Previous experience within barista style of coffee service, bar service and licensing is preferred but we can provide training in this role.

Your role will involve:

  • Working as part of a team
  • Taking orders, preparation of beers, drinks and cocktails.
  • Barista coffee style products
  • Table service and cleaning duties
  • Food preparation and service
  • All aspects of cash and stock control
  • Service of any events and functions provided by DUSA
  • Providing a high level of customer service including upselling

Hours are flexible, working on a rota basis which includes evening and weekend shifts where and when required.
