Dundee University Students’ Association (DUSA) exists to serve the students it represents. We have an acclaimed reputation for the delivery of student experience, acknowledged by ranking top in Scotland in the National Student Survey over the past few years.
DUSA is seeking to appoint someone who is committed to the Students’ Association and its values to serve as a Non-Executive Member on our Board of Trustees. This vacancy provides a rewarding opportunity to play a key role in shaping the future vision and strategic direction of DUSA through effective leadership, good governance and maximising opportunities.
The ideal member would:
- Be receptive to student leadership & democracy
- Have passion, commitment & skills to help us in our future development
- Have a good strategic vision
- Have excellent organisational, interpersonal and practical skills
- Enjoy working with highly motivated students providing advice, guidance & support
- An understanding of the 16 – 24 year old market
- Attend Board of Trustee meetings 6 – 8 times a year (normally evenings)

Customer Safety Supervisor
We have a reputation – number one students’ union in Scotland for the fifth consecutive year and one of the top five in the UK. Talent, passion and commitment hold the key to our success, the backbone of which is our dedicated team of staff and students.
We have an exciting opportunity within our existing Operations Team for an experienced Supervisor, with a background in the Security, Events and Night Club industry.
You will enjoy a varied role looking after our 18000 students and their guests on a busy City Centre University campus. Working within a fast paced environment, the Customer Safety Supervisor will be required to lead and inspire a 50 strong student based team operating within a 3500 capacity building with 2 bars and 2 night clubs. Our portfolio of events extends to large music festivals – securing the stage for big name acts – annual sell out parties, as well as our regular weekly club nights which routinely reach capacity.
The ideal candidate will:
• Hold an SIA license
• Have gained experience in the front line of the security industry at a supervisory level
• Be reliable, professional and have a positive attitude
• Possess an eye for detail on all matters pertaining to event and customer safety.

Night Bus Driver
8 – 16 hours per week £7.76 per hour

Working night-time hours including weekend shifts. The night bus provides a pick- up and drop-off service for students using DUSA facilities. You must be professional, courteous and polite, with a clean driving license.
Category D1 entitlement is desirable but not essential.
