Support for Dundee University Nursery Confirmed by SRC
Following a motion presented by VPSA Tom, the SRC agreed to publicly support the DUCU petition calling for the protection of the Nursery.
Dear students,
We are very happy to announce that the Campus Pantry will be reopening week commencing 17th March. Our teams in DUSA have worked hard to operationalise this new plan and we will be catering to both the Dundee and Kirkcaldy campuses.
The Dundee Campus Pantry will be open twice a week, from 16:30 to 18:30, on alternating days each week (e.g. Monday and Wednesday, Wednesday and Friday). This will ensure that all students who require support can access the pantry more easily.
Students will be able to use the pantry once per month and can book their slot via the registration link that is emailed each time, as well as added to our website. Information regarding slots and referral via DUSA advice and support will be available from 13th March.
The Kirkcaldy Campus Pantry will reopen on the 17th March with its operation remaining unchanged from its previous setup, responding to students on a case-by-case basis.
The cost-of-living crisis continues to have a significant impact on students, and this service is here to support those who are experiencing food poverty.
We urge students to use this service, only when necessary as it is crucial to ensure the pantry remains available to students who need it most, for as long as possible.

We are now 15 months into a financial crisis at the University of Dundee, but the roots are much longer and go beyond recent years of local mismanagement.
