Who are Student Leaders?

Student representation is a vital part of how DUSA and the University of Dundee continuously work to enhance your student experience. Leading the collective student voice on campus, these elected, voluntary positions influence your Division, DUSA, and the University by ensuring that key decision makers understand the student experience and contribute to improving it.

Any UoD matriculated student who is continuing their studies during the 2026/27 academic year can apply and stand for these roles.

What's in it for you?

Roles

You can only apply for one of the following roles, so choose carefully.

Division Presidents are the primary elected student representatives within each academic division, introduced as part of the University’s transition from eight academic Schools to four faculties and division-based structures. This role replaces the former School President positions from 2026 onwards.

Division Presidents work closely with Faculty Vice Principals, Associate Vice Principals Education and Student Experience, student Vice Presidents, Class Representatives, and academic staff to ensure that student representation is embedded at every level of decision-making within their division. This role provides an opportunity to influence change by representing student priorities, contributing to academic discussions, and shaping the student experience within your division. Division Presidents are also full voting members of the Students’ Representative Council (SRC).

To stand for election, you must be a fully matriculated student for the duration of the upcoming academic year.
