DUSA Exec statement on Supreme Court ruling and support for trans students
We are disappointed by the Supreme Court’s ruling that “the terms woman and sex in the Equality Act 2010 refer to a biological woman and biological sex.”
The Cost of Living crisis has been taking a toll on many aspects of life of individuals in the UK, it consists of a 2.8 million student population. DUSA, in collaboration with the University of Dundee, has been taking measures to help students sail through these tough times and mitigate the impact on our students’ wellbeing and attainment. Students already face considerable pressure throughout their studies, and many students have to experience the additional difficulty of adjusting to independent life away from home. Arranging groceries, cooking and making food arrangements is another stressful task along with studies and assignments.
In this short post, we have compiled a few budget-friendly meals for you to try.
1.) Salt & Chilli Pepper Loaded Fries – This is one of the favourite meals you will find on everyone’s table – £4
2.) Mac n Cheese Bites – A great snack bite to munch on, these deep-fried bites are delicious and filling – £4
3.) Chips, Cheese & Curry Sauce – The best part of this item is that it has got different variations, you can choose from chips, chips and curry, chips and cheese and have them all combined together – £3 to £4
4.) Soup – Plant-based soup served with a crusty bread roll – £2
5.) Breakfast Rolls – free for students, From £2 for others Mon-Fri 8.30 – 10.30 in Liar. View our menu!
As a result of the cost of living crisis, the university and DUSA has successfully commenced with providing free breakfast to the students to ensure that students can save some amount of money on food while their budgets are stretched.
Students are welcome to the Air Bar, Dusa in between 8:30 am to 10:30 am. It is worth a try and if they take advantage of breakfast club and lunch in DUSA for £4, it averages to £2 per meal for Breakfast & Lunch.
