DUSA Exec statement on Supreme Court ruling and support for trans students
We are disappointed by the Supreme Court’s ruling that “the terms woman and sex in the Equality Act 2010 refer to a biological woman and biological sex.”
The Premier at DUSA were guests at the 20th Edition SLR (Scottish Local Retail) Awards held at the Raddison in Glasgow, having been nominated for both the Sustainability Retailer of the Year and Soft Drinks Retailer of the Year.
The SLR Awards see the cream of Scotland’s local retailing community gather to recognise and reward some of the best retailers, stores, and initiatives in the Scottish convenience sector.
The Premier at DUSA is proud to have been highly commended in both categories. This is a credit to the team and the excellent work they do. Sustainability is a key aspect of our focus at DUSA and to be recognised yet again in this category is a fantastic achievement that aligns with DUSA’s vision of a kinder, greener, and more diverse global student community.
DUSA was commended on its range of eco-friendly products, the established links it holds with local suppliers, and the continuous drive to improve ranges and minimise environmental impact.
Chris Gourley, Head of Operations at DUSA, said,
This is yet another fantastic achievement by our Retail team at DUSA and I could not be prouder of Moira and the team. The Premier at DUSA puts their heart and soul into ensuring students and staff alike have a friendly, sustainable shopping experience right in the middle of campus.
We are disappointed by the Supreme Court’s ruling that “the terms woman and sex in the Equality Act 2010 refer to a biological woman and biological sex.”
We’re delighted to announce the winners of this year’s Student-Led Teaching Awards
It is a great pleasure to announce the results of the 2025 DUSA Elections.
As part of our commitment to supporting our student community, we want to share an update about the Breakfast Club and Pantry initiative.
