Geography & Environmental Sciences

Throughout the year, if you are interested in geography or environmental science we hold and help organise exciting talks from guest speakers about specific subjects or just to chat from their experiences. We also hold talks from past graduates to discuss where they have gone with their degree after graduating. But it’s not all work, every year we have a great time creating small trips to visit scenic areas and hosting pub quizzes and pub crawls.

The events that most of us look forward to is our annual ceilidh ball where we all get dressed up and have a boogie. Our gaudi nights are another favourite, where we have themed night out at the start of the year to give a warm welcome to all the new members to the society. GESS is completely open for anyone in the university to join and we encourage everyone to come check us out.
