Friends of MSF

We are Dundee Friends of MSF: a student organisation dedicated to supporting Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders). MSF was founded in 1971 as the first non-governmental organisation to provide both emergency medical assistance and bear witness publicly to the plight of the people it assists. MSF is an international network with branches in 23 countries. 

We provide support through fundraising events, campaigning and education on matters that affect MSF and wider global health issues. We organise ceilidhs, our annual ‘Great British Bake-off’ and pub-quizzes to fundraise, and hold numerous talks to help spread awareness of our cause. 

We aren’t just a medical society- all students are welcome! MSF needs doctors, nurses, lawyers, language experts, strategists, logisticians- the list goes on! If you’re interested in humanitarian causes, we’re the society for you!
