Debating

At the debating society we hold debates on every conceivable topic, if you have an opinion, we want to hear it. At training we will teach you how to prepare a seven-minute speech in fifteen minutes, meaning that there is no better place to practice public speaking. Beginners are very welcome so don’t be intimidated; we won’t throw you into a public debate right away. However, if you really enjoy debating, there are opportunities to compete all over Scotland which are always loads of fun. no matter your skill level or experience everyone is welcome at the debating society.
