Summary of the Role

About the Role

The role of Vice President of Academia is an essential position to the enhancement of the quality of education at the University of Dundee. The post holder will contribute and work closely with teaching and learning and quality assurance leads at the University to keep improving the learning experience.

This role also allows the post holder to play a leading role in DUSA and the University’s approach to internationalisation and equality and diversity. Both areas are of importance to our student body and the success of the institution and a post holder who is committed to enhancement in these areas will be vital. The need to have an effective approach to ensure that all students have great experience.

The Vice President of Academia also has another, equally important role, which is to deputise the President. This means, that at times you would be asked or be required to step in for the President and possibly speak on DUSA’s behalf.
