First student fundraiser of 2010 is a huge success!

The Boat and Volleyball clubs put in a massive combined effort to make the first student fundraiser of 2010 a huge success.

'Plain White Tees' which was held on Thursday 28th January in Mono, was organised and promoted by students from two of the University's sports teams. The event was designed to raise money to be shared between the two clubs.

Although a final amount has not been calculated yet, first indications are that the clubs will be sharing a pot of around £2000, making this one of the most successful student nights of the academic year.

The Boat and Volleyball clubs have done extremely well to promote their event and to raise the money for their teams. They have set the bar very high for other clubs and societies to follow in 2010.

Next up it's the ladies from Jewellery and Metal Design who will be raising money for their degree show. Their event, 'bling', is in Mono on Thursday 4th February.
