SRC Commends the Islamic and Muslim Message Societies

Tuesday 26th of January's SRC meeting saw a number of things but one of the motions raised was an interesting one by the Islamic society regarding Islamophobia. DUSA President Andrew Smith had this to say:

"This statement is testament to the good work of the Dundee University Islamic Society and the Muslim Message Society, over the last year and a half I have had the pleasure and privilege of working with both of these groups and look forward to doing so again in the future. Our campus is a multicultural one and this is something that should always be celebrated, Dundee University is the sum of it’s students and for that reason I am optimistic. We will always give our full support to all societies and all sections of our campus and this motion is a chance to put our relationship in writing."
