D.A.R.E. is a student run overseas volunteering charity. We raise money over the course of the academic year through fundraisers such as face-painting, ceilidhs, our infamous jam-wrestling and much more besides!

We then organise projects across the world teaching, constructing, orphanage work, research etc. These projects can vary quite a bit not only from project to project but also within a project itself, some of what we have done in past projects is highlighted in pictures.
From getting to know the people, playing games with the kids, constructing walls, working in paddy fields, digging trenches for drainage, landscaping, tutoring in maths english and science, teaching first aid, painting murals, and much much more, a DARE project is everything except boring.
The students who go away with us pay for their own flights, food and accomodation so all the money DARE raises goes directly to the projects we work with.
Starting over 10 years ago, we have raised over £20,000 and our countless number of volunteers have travelled the globe; everywhere from research projects in Iceland and Russia to working in an orphanage and teaching in Tanzania and Guatemela to working with street children in Bulgeria and Romania.
In 2009 DARE sent over 50 Volunteers all around the globe to the following locations:
Tanzania x 2projects (orphanage)
Guatemala (orphanage)
Bulgaria (kids summer camp)
Romania (street kids)
Borneo x 2 projects (construction, teaching)
Nepal (construction, teaching etc)
Cambodia (Teaching and Farm work at an Orphanage)
