Iain Kennedy President

Iain is the figurehead of the Students’ Association. DUSA’s President has an established and influential position within the University, representing your views on many of the key decisions on Campus. Along with the Rector, Iain sits on the University Court, ensuring students’ opinions are voiced at the highest level. As well as being a member of various University committees, Iain also represents Dundee student issues at a local and national level, whether this be through the media or lobbying the government.

Stuart Fitzpatrick Deputy President

Stuart oversees student representation and academic quality issues. He provides valuable feedback to the University through a range of representational channels. Stuart also liaises with the University to promote the development and improvement of the student experience and equal opportunities policies. Stuart organises all DUSA’s elections, promoting student involvement in representation. You can contact Stuart for a wide range of help and advice, ranging from an informal chat to assistance with an academic appeal.

Rachael Doherty Vice President Student Activities

Rachael is responsible for DUSA’s numerous student societies, assisting them in their operation and funding. Rachael also represents students ensuring that you receive the highest quality service and facilities from both the Uni and DUSA. Contact Rachael for anything to do with societies and events or even complaints about the service you experience on campus. Rachael will ensure your views are heard by the right people.

Navid Gornall Vice President Communications

Navid manages DUSA’s communications. Navid ensures important information
is accessible both offline and on the web. Navid works closely with all of DUSA’s media channels including the Magdalen Magazine, DUSA TV and Discover Radio as well as sitting on the university E-Learning committees. Julie McGovern Vice President Campaigns

Julie runs vibrant political and cultural events throughout the year encouraging discourse and debate on Campus. If you want to get involved with campaigns or have a suggestion for an interesting speaker or an event please contact Julie.

Tom Dale Vice President Student Welfare

Tom provides welfare advice and support. If you have a problem, Tom can point you in the right direction. Tom organises many campaigns throughout the year raising awareness of important issues such as sexual health and responsible drinking.

Iain MacKinnon Honorary Secretary

Iain is responsible for DUSA’s disciplinary procedures. If you
are naughty in The Union, you will deal with Iain who chairs DUSA’s Disciplinary Panel. Iain also convenes the Student Representative Council (SRC), working closely with the SRC Chair and Deputy President to ensure it is the democratic body you deserve.
