Association Staff

Description of Role: As the senior member of staff Chris has overall responsibility for ensuring that the delegated aims and objectives of the Board of Trustees of DUSA are delivered to the high standards expected. His main role is to prioritise, co-ordinate, and direct the resources available to achieve the maximum impact.

Hobbies & Interests: Most aspects of The Great Outdoors, cooking, photography and watching rugby.

Description of Role: Responsible for all financial matters within DUSA. Deputises for the General Manager in his absence. As part of the senior management team he is responsible for providing guidance, support and direction in both commercial and pastoral matters.

Hobbies & Interests: The outdoors and sport, especially cricket and rugby.

Description of Role: Advises staff and members of DUSA on all aspects of health and safety and is heavily involved in event planning and liaison with external agencies. As part of the senior management team he is responsible for providing guidance, support and direction in both commercial and pastoral matters.

Hobbies & Interests: Cycling; anything to do with nature and all things to do with camping and rugby.

Description of Role: One of DUSA’s commercial managers and is responsible for the management of DUSA’s 4 Retail Shops which are situated throughout the University Campus. Also responsible for the comprehensive vending operation which has machines placed in all the major University Buildings.

Hobbies & Interests: Watching Dundee FC , playing Football , Golf , and keeping fit.

Description of Role: Provides Human Resources support, advice and management on all HR/Personnel matters. As a member of the senior management team she is involved in all aspects of the Association ensuring HR policies and procedures support the organisation’s objectives.

Hobbies & Interests: Travel, camping (with my Guides) skiing, music and reading.

Description of Role: Leads the Events & Marketing Department, a team of 15 staff including graphic designers, event bookers and sound/light technicians.  The Events & Marketing Department are responsible for organising events at The Union and the marketing of both DUSA’s commercial and non-commercial operations.

Hobbies & Interests: Food, traveling, walking and cycling.

Description of Role: Oversees all of the operational aspects of the building specifically the bar and night club operations, Customer Safety and Events team, including facilities support. Working closely with the Health Safety and Risk Manager, Chris also manages all of DUSA’s large scale events.

Hobbies & Interests: Chris is an avid martial arts practitioner and teacher, holding student self-defence classes in the Union.

Description of Role: To develop new catering concepts and menus, to deliver motivation and staff training to all catering staff and to ensure the safe delivery of all food experiences.
